How Payments are Made and How Taxes are Collected

As ya’ll know, tax laws vary from county to county, state to state, country to country, etc. I have yet to find a reliable platform to calculate it for me! Because of this, all sales need to be calculated manually. I have a sales license in Colorado and in Texas, so residents of these states will have a sales tax added in accordance with these tax laws. Residents from other states may be responsible for a “Use Tax”, which the resident is responsible for reporting and and paying. If you are interested in purchasing a piece, send me a message with your email address, phone number, and mailing address, and I will calculate the taxes I need to collect and send you an invoice. Shipping fees will also be the responsibility of the customer UNLESS you live in Colorado Springs and are willing to give me a set time to deliver the piece myself. Payments can be taken over the phone (or in person if you feel like meeting somewhere!) using Squarespace or online through PayPal. Let me know if you are a non-profit or a school; this will affect tax rates. Thank you for your patience!

Custom Order?

I will take a custom order! Here are a few outlines for the process:

  1. Client messages me with the request. I will review the request and make a decision as to whether or not I can do the subject justice. I will not start a project I believe I won’t do well. Your satisfaction is my goal. I may message back with questions clarifying the project.

  2. An estimate will be generated. I will generate an estimate for the client including the price of the piece and the estimated completion time. Client may discuss with me ideas on adjusting the project if the cost is not amenable.

  3. Work begins. Once the price and time range is agreed upon, the project begins. I may contact the client if I need help clarifying the design, making a design decision, or if the project is delayed for any reason.

  4. Completed work is presented to client for approval. This may be done online, or, if in the Colorado Springs area, in person. If the completed project is not to the client’s satisfaction, the client and I can discuss changes that can be made (more time may be needed to make changes). Client is afforded 1 total remake (anything that would mean I need to redo 90% or more of the project) of the project, but must allow for more time for the remake. If I feel I cannot satisfy the needs of the project or please the client within these parameters, I will terminate the project with my apologies. If/when the project is approved by the client, payment is collected. After approval, custom projects are not eligible for refund.

  5. Work is delivered to client via postal service or by hand if in the Colorado Springs area. Postal fees are the responsibility of the client and will be added to the invoice.

I look forward to bringing your idea to life!

Refund Policy

Is that piece just not working out? Refunds are granted for non-custom pieces if requested within two weeks of the mailed date (when the package hits the post office). Piece must be returned in the same condition it was sent; if the piece is returned damaged, a refund will not be granted. Client will not receive a refund on postage and is responsible for paying the postage for the item to be returned. Refund will be processed when piece is received. Again, custom orders are not eligible for a refund. Refunds will be processed through the same platform they were received.
